Flagstaff Fifth Wheels

How much do they cost to buy, maintain, register, and insure?

Fifth wheel prices vary greatly depending on the size, inclusions, design and options.

  • Fifth wheels available in Australia generally range in size from approx 19 feet to 35 feet. Typically the bigger they are the more expensive. Ranging from approx. $70,000 to $150,000 or more in some cases.

  • Some are standard US models that have been converted afterwards for Australian conditions with different standards of workmanship, suitability and compliance.

  • Purpose built units for Australia are generally more expensive due to the lower volumes of production and the higher cost of Australian approved 240 volt and gas appliances. This will generally add $10,000 or more to the price. Even so the price of the Australian Flagstaff 23 is comparable to a similar size Australian caravan with similar levels of features.

  • The Flagstaff 23 is a purpose built unit for Australia and has almost all available US options standard. Note: most US models of this size do not have slides.

  • Cost to register similar to a comparable caravan. Stamp duty, just as with caravans, is applicable in some States.

  • Spare parts are generally similar in price to Australian caravans.

  • Similar maintenance costs of comparable Australian caravans.

  • Insurance quotes - please see our dealers for a quote.
